Dear Sharpsville Educational Community:

The back to school flyers have long been out, we celebrated America 250, hosted the World Cup, preseason football has started, the daylight is noticeably shorter, band camp is underway, fall sports are underway, heck the Halloween and Christmas decor have displayed in the stores for weeks.  That can only mean that it is once again that it is time.  Time to embark on the 2026-2027 school year. 

I would like to give a huge Blue Devil Welcome to those staff members who will be starting their Blue Devil careers in our district:

            Sabrina Murray – Business Manager

            Brooke McKinney – Middle School Special Education

            James Lawler, Deanna Abdelhaq, Rebecca Maykowki – Cafeteria

The first day is a fun filled event that is full of excitement, happiness, and a buzz of activity.  The Class of 2039 is beginning their academic journey while the Class of 2027 begins the stretch run to their ultimate night of graduation. 

Here are the Top 10 things to look forward to as we start the 2026-2027 school year:

1. Seeing friends
2. Making new friends
3. Getting proper sleep
4. Eating breakfast
5. Making a routine for homework and studying
6. Be organized
7. Time management
8. Getting new school supplies
9. Getting involved in activities
10.  Having fun

We are so excited for year 2 of the Devils’ Essentials Nook also known as The DEN.  In collaboration with Mercer County Food Bank, we want to make sure every student has their needs met so they can focus their energy towards school. The DEN will look different at the elementary school versus the high school and middle school, items such as snacks and other food, personal care items, and clothing will be available.
