Message from Superintendent, Mr. John Vannoy

Dear Sharpsville Educational Community:

The sounds of birds chirping, the first appearance of the daffodils, extended daylight, and the sounds of baseballs and softballs hitting the aluminum and leather, and the sight of runners and throwers on the track can only mean that Spring has arrived.  Spring also means time for concerts, state assessments, honor society inductions, recognition programs, Prom, baseball, softball, track and field, Kindergarten graduation, 8th grade recognition and graduation and most importantly graduation for the Class of 2026.  Graduation is scheduled for Friday Night June 5 at 8:00 PM at The Pines.  Nothing beats a Friday night at The Pines.  Graduation is the crown jewel for us as educators.

I want to thank the Class Officers for the Class of 2026:

President-Tulia Chrestay, Vice President – Dava Masters, Secretary – Emma Brest, Treasurer – Ethan Springer.  Great job.  You have been resilient, determined, organized, patient, and an absolute pleasure to work with throughout your high school years.

As we head into the stretch run I want to remind all students to finish the school year strong.  It is not how one starts things that people remember; but rather how one finishes things.

In closing I would like to share some Steps to Success:

  1. Find what you love and do it
  2. Learn how to balance life
  3. Do not fear failure
  4. Have the will to succeed
  5. Be a person of action
  6. Avoid conflict
  7. Do not be afraid of trying something new and to think outside of the box
  8. Believe in yourself
  9. Have a positive attitude
  10. Hard work works
  11. You be you
  12. Hope…. dream…believe…make it happen
  • I wish the Class of 2026 best of luck as they finish up their K-12 journey here in our district.  “The only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven’t found it yet, keep looking. Don’t settle. As with all matters of the heart you’ll know when you find it.” Steve Jobs
